On September 1st, 2013, in the midst of the deepest economic crisis Greece had ever experienced, Wise Greece was launched with the goal of supporting small food producers and assisting people in need.
From the very beginning, the Initiative demonstrated that collaboration and solidarity can create a significant social impact. Over 12 years, Wise Greece has evolved into an Initiative connecting producers, volunteers, and communities, promoting access to quality food and strengthening social cohesion.
During this period, Wise Greece expanded its support for vulnerable groups while also promoting the growth of small local food businesses. The initiative has shown that even in challenging economic conditions, organized social efforts can bring about meaningful change.
The 12th anniversary of Wise Greece provides an opportunity to recognize its social impact, resilience, and the importance of community. The Initiative demonstrates that collective action, responsibility, and cooperation can play a vital role in addressing social challenges and fostering solidarity.
