The first “Wise Greece session” took place at the Municipal Market of Kypseli.
We were very happy to welcome the non profit organization Boroume, which tackles the issue of food waste in our country and the food blogger Eleni from “the Foodie Corner”, to talk about both food waste and smart ideas on how to use the food that is left over!
All of us every now and then were shocked by the amount of food and vegetables left out of a recipe while trying in vain to fit it somewhere else! Nobody enjoys eating leftovers, so the food ends up in the garbage bin. In this session we talked about how to make the best use of it! We talked about creative ways to keep our vegetables fresh for longer and how to use the leftovers in new recipes!
