Wise Greece, with the support of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, designed and implemented the “Plastic Fighters” program. The program was created to focus everyone’s attention on the pollution of the environment and specifically on the pollution created by plastic in the Mediterranean Sea, as more than 229.000 tons of plastic enter the Mediterranean seas every year!
Part of the project was to create a platform where smart ideas, articles and tips are uploaded to reduce or even eliminate the use of plastic at home, at work, in cooking, in shopping and in our daily lives. At the same time, through the program we highlighted the efforts made by companies, non-profit organizations, municipalities and individuals in Greece and abroad to reduce plastic, while we brought several Plastic Fighters “around the same table” as they attended the webinars that were organized, so that they could get to know each other and design joint actions and collaborations.
