Swiss Beer Bread

A more delicious and creative way to bring beer to the table!


110 – 120 gr. Swiss cheese
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 bottle beer or nonalcoholic beer
2 tablespoons butter, melted


  1. Preheat oven to 190°C. Divide cheese in half. Cut half into half-centimeter cubes; shred remaining cheese.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Stir beer into dry ingredients just until moistened and then mix in the cubed and shredded cheese.
  3. Transfer to a greased pan. Drizzle with butter. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 50-60 minutes.
  4. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
