The delicious English banoffee made by our favorite Chef Carolina Doritis, with the Wise Greece\u00a0products<\/a>\u00a0will definitely surprise you!\u2026<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the pie base:
\n220gr\u00a0Orange cookies by CHIO<\/a>
\n60gr unsalted butter
\nPinch of cinnamon<\/p>\n

For the toffee layer
\n397gr sweetened condensed milk
\n70gr butter
\n70gr brown sugar (demerara)
\nPinch of salt
\n\u00bd tsp vanilla<\/p>\n

For the whipped cream
\n330ml heavy cream
\n2tsp powdered sugar
\n1tsp vanilla<\/p>\n

4-5 small bananas<\/p>\n

To garnish:
\nCocoa powder<\/p>\n

Essential equipment:\u00a0A 20cm round spring-form tin lines with cling film.<\/p>\n


\nMethod:<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the pie base:
\nPlace cookies in a food processor and pulse into crumbs. Place butter in a small saucepan and melt over low heat (or melt in microwave).
\nPlace crushed cookies, cinnamon and melted butter into a bowl, and mix until combined. Empty into the prepared tin and press firmly into the bottom of the pan.
\nChill for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

For the toffee layer:
\nMeanwhile, place 70gr butter and brown sugar into a heavy based, medium sized, non-stick saucepan, over a low heat. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves. Add in the condensed milk, the vanilla, and pinch of salt, and bring to simmer, stirring constantly for about 2-3 minutes (to prevent it from burning), until it thickens.
\nPour the caramel into the tin, spreading it evenly over the base. Chill in the fridge for at least 1hr.<\/p>\n

For the whipped cream:
\nUsing a stand or hand held mixer, whip cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
\nCarefully remove the pie (base and caramel layer) from the pan and place onto a platter. Peel and slice the bananas and arrange on top of the caramel layer. Pipe (or spoon) the whipped cream over the bananas. Dust with cocoa powder and serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
