The creamy spread hummus, is widely used in the Middle East as an appetizer\u00a0with bread or Arabic pie. Our beloved Chef Carolina Doriti\u00a0is cooking\u00a0a different version of this traditional dish, using the Wise Greece\u00a0products<\/a>\u00a0for our\u00a0Wise Home Cooking Series<\/a>!..<\/p>\n

Ingredients:
\n<\/strong>300 gr \/ 2 cups boiled chickpeas
\n130 gr tahini
\n80 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
\n2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
\n6 tsp\u00a0Sweet and Hot Florina Peppers sauce by Yiam<\/a>
\n\u00bd tsp ground cumin
\n\u00bd tsp ground coriander seeds
\n\u00bd tsp sumac
\n\u00bd tsp Sweet paprika
\nApprox.\u00a0\u00bd \u2013 \u00be cup water
\nSalt to taste<\/p>\n

To serve:
\n<\/strong>Extra virgin olive oil
\nRoast chickpeas (optional)
\nSweet paprika
\nFresh thyme leaves<\/p>\n

Cooking instructions:
\n<\/strong>Place chickpeas and garlic in a blender and process until smooth. Add in the sweet and hot pepper sauce, the spices and salt and pulse. Add in the tahini, some water and lemon juice into the mixture and blend well. Add as much water as it needs to give it the required texture. The final result should be creamy, smooth and thick. Adjust the salt if necessary, mix and serve.<\/p>\n

To serve, garnish with extra virgin olive oil, some baked chickpeas, sweet paprika and fresh thyme leaves.<\/p>\n

Serve as a dip along with vegetable, breadsticks, crackers, grilled pita bread or regular bread.<\/p>\n
