How did you get started? What inspired you to get involved in the food industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"235\" data-end=\"304\">Mama Irene is a unique handmade pasta atelier for discerning palates.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"306\" data-end=\"506\">It all started in 2009 in Kastanas, Thessaloniki, by Mama Irene and Grandma Anna, who began crafting and offering their exquisite handmade pasta at the old grocery store that once belonged to Grandpa.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"508\" data-end=\"775\">In 2020, the next generation\u2014us, Christina and Kostas\u2014fully took over the workshop. Though it wasn&#8217;t exactly a lucky start, as it coincided with the outbreak of COVID, followed by war, relentless price increases across the board, and major shortages of raw materials\u2026<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"1015\">However, amid all that, people started cooking more at home, became familiar with online shopping, and had more time to get better informed about the foods they were choosing to consume. What does it represent? What was your purpose in creating it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1556\">At Mama Irene, we don\u2019t just produce pasta\u2014we create edible art. With great dedication and respect for what we do, we\u2019ve managed to earn the love of the most demanding and critical audience: children\u2014and, by extension, new moms. It\u2019s no coincidence that we were the first in Greece (in the food category) to receive the global <strong data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1462\">Loved By Parents <\/strong>award, held annually in London, where we won the <strong data-start=\"1512\" data-end=\"1555\">Gold Award for Best Baby Food 6+ months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1617\"><strong data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1617\">Tell us about your products. What makes them different?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1900\">If you&#8217;re asking us, no\u2014we don\u2019t make baby food. It\u2019s just that our products are so pure and natural that they&#8217;re often chosen as some of the first foods for infants. At least until they try it.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2247\" data-end=\"2409\">To keep our business sustainable, we decided to strengthen our brand identity. We&#8217;re preparing for upcoming exhibitions and creating an interactive space where parents and children can visit, meet us, and learn about nutrition\u2014always in collaboration with certified professionals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3175\" data-end=\"3326\">Additionally, through our website, we&#8217;ve launched the #pastaforamission initiative, aiming to support meals for children in need in any way we can.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3328\" data-end=\"3406\"><strong data-start=\"3328\" data-end=\"3406\">Why did you choose to participate in and support the Wise Greece Movement?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3408\" data-end=\"3684\">In collaboration with Wise Greece, we created a line of products from which the profits go towards buying food for soup kitchens and institutions. This ensures our contribution is Continuous and Sustainable\u2014so that our social impact lasts and isn\u2019t just a one-time gesture.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3686\" data-end=\"3757\">Above all, we are human\u2014and each of us will do our best in our own way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tell us a few things about yourselves.
