A significant act of solidarity with multiple social impact!
This April, the ‘’ΤΗΙ Australia’’ will support Wise Greece through the Hope Boxes project. The Hope Boxes were designed to provide relief from the consequences of COVID-19 to people in need while will improve the economic resilience of small family owned businesses.
The contribution of the ‘’ΤΗΙ Australia’’ amounts to 1.000 Hope Boxes, which equals to 6 tons of essential food supplies, which will be delivered to people and families in need. Each Hope Box consisted of pasta, extra virgin olive oil, honey, etc. will be distributed to three Institutions all over Greece, which constitute a safe place and a significant helping hand for many socially vulnerable people of all ages. More precisely, the three Institutions that will be receiving the food supplies are:
The Foundation ‘’White Butterflies’’ established in Volos, provides a boarding house to people of all ages with severe mental disabilities.
The Elderly Care Unit ‘’Konstantio’’, located in Kavala, ministers elderly people in need.
The Charitable Non-Profit Organization ‘’The Ark of the World’’ provides special care to children (from infanthood to adulthood) and to single-parent families. The food supplies will be distributed to four protection houses: in Athens, Chios, Epirus and Kalamata.
