When we talk about roses, our mind usually goes to a beautiful plant, a symbol of love and romance. However, a special variety of wild rose with a unique fragrance has been used for years by monasteries in the Aigialeia region — most notably by the Monastery of Taxiarches — to produce traditional rose petal spoon sweet.
Near this area is a estate with wild rose bushes owned by our family business, which was founded in 2020 with the aim of preserving this tradition, faithfully following the demanding, time-honored methods of preparation. Every May, we carefully select the flowers during the early morning harvest and proceed immediately with the preparation and packaging of the sweet on the same day.
A sweet with a distinctive aroma and exceptional taste, one I remember my family making since I was a child, for our home, relatives, and friends.My love for this cultivation and the connection it requires with nature led me to pursue it professionally.
