On May 12 and 13, the 12 finalists from Mytilene, Rhodes, Kavala, Xanthi, Naousa, Chios, Thessaloniki, Athens, and other regions gathered at the Olympic Museum of Athens for a two-day event full of hands-on experience, inspiration, and networking opportunities.
Throughout the two-day event, participants had the unique opportunity to attend educational seminars to learn how to create a successful business plan and how to present their entrepreneurial proposal in the best possible way. At the end of the event, the finalists presented their ideas to a panel of judges composed of distinguished figures from the business world: Mr. Konstantinos Deriziotis, President and CEO of KSD S.A. and Board Member of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA), Mr. Nikola Karydis, Program Manager at The People’s Trust, Ms. Iliada Evangelia Kothra, Business Consultant and Founder of Living Postcards, Mr. Kostis Moschonás, CEO of RM International, and Ms. Katerina Santikou, Business Development at Santikos Collection and Founder of Workathlon. They were the ones who selected the two grand winners of the competition.
The 1st prize (€6,000) was awarded to Koukos de Lab from Mytilene, who repurpose olive pits into unique furniture pieces, while the 2nd prize (€3,000) went to Myrovolos Organics, which presented a new and innovative herbal product.
The other finalists selected and who participated in the Bootcamp included: Cat Café, Dots-Inclusive Jewelry, the boat platform NEREID, the sustainable cosmetics brand Oceanis, the social enterprise Rags and Hearts, Rhodes Cooking Classes, Trofi.Lab which focuses on urban agriculture, Cosmic Times with their “smart” clothing, Star Sleep offering stargazing sleep experiences, and Pin-ela with their traditional costume-inspired wooden dolls.
The second phase of the Program, TUI FutureShapers Empower, which will include in-person training in six regions of Greece, will be announced soon.
