Lessons of Resilience and Women’s Empowerment at Principia

Our recent visit to Principia’s facilities offered us a unique experience, as we had the opportunity to closely attend the experiential discussion titled “Stories That Changed The Way Forward.” On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the event served as a vivid dialogue around the concepts of inner strength, motherhood, resilience, and meaningful social contribution.

Through the personal journeys of the speakers, we realized that progress is not a straight path, but rather the result of perseverance in the face of every challenge. Katerina Bofiliou, accompanied by her mother Georgia Bantouna, shared with us her moving journey from her birth to the completion of her studies at the Medical School of Athens, proving that determination can overcome any obstacle.

At the same time, Anastasia Pyrgioti, Clinical Psychologist and bronze Paralympic medalist of Tokyo 2020, introduced us to the world of high-level sports and mental endurance, while Melina Taprantzi, founder of Wise Greece, coordinated the discussion, highlighting the bridge between personal success and social solidarity.

Leaving Principia, we carry with us the message that the stories of these women are not merely examples of success, but a guiding light for how we can move forward with courage and empathy. Initiatives like this remind us of the importance of role models in our society and inspire us to continue supporting actions that promote empowerment and equality in practice.
