Great Taste Awards, the world’s most coveted blind-tasted food awards, which celebrates the very best in food and drink, has announced the Great Taste stars of 2016! Judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs and producers as well as a whole host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and specialty food.
This year not one, but two products from our exclusive range of Simply Greek for Wise Greece, won a Great Taste Award, due to the fact that they stand out for their taste and originality! “Greek salad in a jar” and “Spicy Pepper Pate” impressed the judges and for the first time, products that have been created exclusively for a good cause in Greece, managed to receive this award!

Greek Salad in a jar: “A good consistency for coating the pasta. Successfully combines the Greek salad ingredients, with tomato and olive elements.”
Spicy Pepper Pate: “The judges really appreciated the clever balance of this paste. All the ingredients came through in turn, declaring their place and then linking well with the other flavours. The Feta cheese was the most clever, providing the necessary salt seasoning and a dairyness. The chili heat was expertly judged.”
